They were published in 1793 and 1794, respectively, in Berlin, by Bossischen Buchhandlung.  The series was begun by Georg Forster.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe volumes were bound in contemporary calf.  The 10th volume is William Bartram’s travel account of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, \u0026amp; East and West Florida.  It features 8 engravings. The 11th volume is a compilation of travel accounts which all took place in modern day Oceania.  There are 4 engravings including two that feature Australia or New Holland.  William Bligh is included in the work who served on Captain Cook's third voyage as the Master of HMS Resolution.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWilliam Bartram (1739-1823) was an early American naturalist and ornithologist. He was born and died in Pennsylvania and has been described as “the first naturalist who penetrated the dense tropical forests of Florida” (Speier, 1848).
