Sandpaintings of the Navajo Shooting Chant

This folio volume with 35 color plates is Franc J. Newcomb and Gladys A. Reichard’s Sandpaintings of the Navajo Shooting Chant. The work was published in New York in 1937 by J. J. Augustin. This was the 120th printing of 250 of the limited edition with the signatures by Newcomb & Reichard. The 35 color plates were printed on handmade Japan paper and include tissue guards. The volume is bound in publisher’s coarse cloth with paper title label to upper cover.
