This is a collection of 24 original lithographs by Pablo Picasso that reproduced his major works between 1916 and 1961. The work was produced by Jean Cocteau and entitled Picasso de 1916 à 1961. It was published in Monaco by Editions Rocher in 1962. It is a signed, limited folio edition presented for the occasion of Picasso’s 80th birthday. Only 199 copies were signed by both Picasso and Cocteau (on the justification page) of which this is number 151 and it was printed on Rives rag paper.
Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) is one of the most influential artists of the 20th century and co-founded the Cubist movement. He was a Spanish born painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, stage designer, poet, and playwright that worked predominantly in France.
