This fine volume with 50 plates is Dorothy Smith Sides’s Decorative Art of the Southwestern Indians. The work was published in Santa Ana by Fine Arts Press in 1936. Some of the plates feature color and are loose as issued in the publisher’s leather-backed portfolio with leather clasp. This is a first edition that was limited to 450 printings. The drawings were originally done by Dorothy Smith Sides, and the annotations are done by Mrs. Frederick Robinson Smith. It is a detailed presentation of Southwestern Indian decorative arts.
