Peters’s Naturwissenschaftliche Reise nach Mossambique.. – Portfolio with 33 Amphibian & Reptile Lithographs

This scarce work is W. C. Peters’s Naturwissenschaftliche Reise nach Mossambique auf Befehl S.M. des Königs Friederich Wilhelm IV. in den Jahren 1842-82. The work was published in Berlin by Reimer in 1882. There 33 lithographs of reptiles and amphimbians, 4 of which feature partial coloring. It is in portfolio style, unbound, in later half cloth. The animals illustrated were done from a German expedition to Mozambique.
