The work was published in London in 1764.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eEdmondson was originally employed to paint coats of arms on carriages in London which led him to study Heraldry and genealogy. He eventually began publishing his work and completed \u003cem\u003eBaronagium Genealogicum\u003c\/em\u003e. The crests were originally compiled by Segar (1554-1633) and were continued to the present by Edmondson.
