He work for the Pouplard firm until 1929.

Alain Champion and Gilles Kervella, specialists in Malicorne faience, highlight the major importance of the drawings he produced: “These hundreds of watercolors on Canson paper, of exceptional quality, allow for cross-referencing of forms, but above all of decorative motifs, and are of the utmost interest in identifying the range of pieces that the Plat d'EÉ tain manufactory was capable of producing. Numerous objects inspired by rustic 18th-century decoration, but also many others drawing from prestigious centers, are presented here, and the variety of production achieved by Léon Pouplard’s workshops demonstrates the progress made since the end of the 19th century.” (Alain Champion and Gilles Kervella, Léon Pouplard (PBx), faïencier à Malicorne, 2002
