L. Mosley.  The work was likely completed through Hosley's life, circa late 1800s to early 1900s.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe original watercolors and printed plates are corner mounted with the bird often appearing next to its nest and egg or varying poses of one bird. There are 64 watercolors done by Hosley's hand, and 45 that he printed with a hand press and colored by hand.  The volume is bound in dark blue cloth with gold and black lettering and decorative Asian influenced scene.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSeth Lister Mosley (1848–1929) was a naturalist, taxidermist, and illustrator.  He was largely self taught with little formal schooling.
