Description of the work:
This is a fine original drawing for a woman's shoe. They were created circa 1930. The drawing is from a German wedge file containing original shoe designs in pencil and white crayon with color heightening. Each is on thin, transparent paper. The drawings were from Pirmasens, which was a German town famous for shoemaking, and thus likely original designs for a German shoe manufacturer.
